Environmental Management

Taste Master Flavours is committed to ensuring that our business practices:

  • Prevent the pollution of the environment, including air, water or earth.
  • Comply with local and international laws and regulations wherever applicable.
  • Adhere to all customer requirements, including customer-specific codes of conduct.
  • Work towards continuous improvement in environmental performance.

More specifically Taste Master Flavours has adopted procedures and programs to:

    1. Protect workers, the community, and the environment through responsible and safe waste management procedures. This includes initiatives aimed at
      • Preventing and minimising waste generation whenever possible. In particular we have eliminated single-use plastics as much as possible.
      • Reusing or recycling materials whenever possible.
      • Controlling the health and safety risks associated with any hazardous waste, and disposing of hazardous waste safely and properly.
    2. Protect the environment and the local community through responsible use of water resources including:
      • Limiting water usage wherever possible to conserve supplies, including re-use of wastewater where possible (e.g. for gardening)
      • Properly managing wastewater through a licensed contractor.
      • Rainwater harvesting. At our factory, we store up to 2 lakh litres of rainwater collected from our roof. This helps to minimise the amount of water drawn from other sources.
    3. Protect the health of workers and the community by minimising and controlling air emissions including gases, vapours and particulate (dust). Our air filtration and ventilation systems, along with protective masks protect workers from respiratory risks.
    4. Conserve energy through investment in energy efficient equipment and fittings (e.g. we use 4-star rated refrigeration & LED lighting).
    5. Prevent Fire, and prepare for emergencies: Protecting our workers’ lives and safety, as well as your property, means being prepared for emergencies. Taste Master has invested in fire safety equipment and regular staff training to prevent and plan for a fire, natural disaster, or other emergency situation.
